The 7th European Symposium on Biochemical Engineering Science will take place in the beautiful town of Faro at the Algarve Coastline in Portugal from 7 – 10 September 2008. The symposium is jointly organised by the IBB-Institutes of Biotechnology and Bioengineering at Faro and Lisbon University and DECHEMA, Frankfurt. It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate and to present your latest work and results. The ESBES Symposium Series has developed to the leading platform for the community over the last years which provides the opportunity for biochemical scientists and engineers but also for researchers of adjacent fields to exchange their experiences. It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in ESBES-6 .  This symposia series has been a leader in driving the scientific aspects of biochemical engineering science. ESBES is a prime meeting for scientists and engineers active in the field to show and see the state of the art of the profession.

The mission of the European Federation of Biotechnology and its Section on Biochemical Engineering Science is to bring together scientists, engineers and other specialists working in the field of Biochemical Engineering. The federation promotes the interaction between European and International researchers, but also between academic, governmental and policy decision makers.
